>LOGAN, Utah (Jan. 20, 2006) – BYU used balance
>beam, to edge the Aggies 193.375 to 193.275
>Friday night in Logan. The win evens the Cougars’ record at 2-2 on the
year.

>BYU started off shaky on bars while the Aggies
>got off to a good start on Vault taking a 48.500
>– 48.175 lead after the first rotation. The
>Cougars’ Aimee Walker Pond scored a career high
>9.800 in taking first place on bars. Kacie Capra
>was close behind, tying for third, at 9.750.

>Utah State’s Jessica Parenti won vault with a
>9.800 while BYU’s Hayley Jensen tied for second
>at 9.750. Parenti also took first on floor with
>a 9.800. The Cougars’ Lisa Willis finished second with a 9.750.

>BYU entered their last rotation, beam, down
>144.900 – 144.675. The Cougars took four of the
>top five spots however in rout to a 48.750.
>Alethea Boon and Kylee Draper both scored their
>career highs on the event. Boon notched a 9.825

>9.775 to take fourth while Draper scored a 9.700.
