Start of season Posted by Meghan Donahue and Lena Johnson 1/23/2007 The potential our team has is starting to show after the first 4 meets of the year. We started the season off with 4 meets in a row. To start off with a bang, we went to the Cancun Classic where we had a good outing for the first meet of the year. We came in third amongst 3 other top twenty teams; Iowa State, University of Missouri, and Auburn University. Our freshman got a lot of experience in a more laid back atmosphere since the meet moved a little slower than most and being in Mexico, we could just relax and have fun. Next we came home to compete against Texas Women's University. We had some of the normal early season struggles but still got a good score and enjoyed being at home in front of our own fans. We went up to Boise where we had to rely more on our freshman because junior Kylee Draper had hurt her foot the week before. As we are waiting for Kylee to heal, our freshman are getting stronger and more confident. With only 2 days rest, we headed up to Utah State University where we got our highest score of the year and really showed the potential that this team has.    Attachments (click to download)
