Raising the Bar Posted by Alethea Boon 9/19/2007 The start of a new year is in full swing, and with that comes a new determined BYU gymnastics team who are looking to turn heads and become a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming 2008 season. "Raising the Bar" Cougar gymnasts are on a mission to improve upon last years performances. The crusade for a better season has already begun with everyone working hard and keeping to this year’s team motto of “Raising the Bar”. Raising the bar entails everyone on the team having higher expectations and meeting them on a continuous basis. It is already evident through the improvements being made in the gym that the motto is in effect. Expectations have not only been set in the gym but also in other areas of life. Whether it is team unity, motivation, spiritual, academics or service, everyone is committed to being more active and stepping up in all areas. “Raising the Bar” is the teams’ way of creating a successful all round student athlete. Great things lie ahead for BYU Gymnastics, and we will be sure to keep you all updated.
