Season Begins in 1 Week!! Posted by Alethea Boon 1/17/2008 So, the documenting of the pre-season journey didn't really go to plan as I, (Alethea) would have liked, but now that the dust has settled and a groove has been found regular updates should be on their way! The beginning of the 2008 season for the Cougar gymnasts starts off at the University of New Hampshire on Jan 26th. Since returning from Christmas break the team has held weekly intra-squads to ensure that improvements are being made and that all team members are on target with achieving team goals. This week (Friday 19th Jan) is the last test before the real thing next weekend. The team is looking to pick up momentum from the last intra-squad and shine with confidence so that they have a solid platform going into the first meet. What you can expect to see from the Cougar Squad: A new found toughness both physically and mentally! Despite unfortunate troubles during the pre-season (such as the injury of a strong freshman, Jessica Villegas) the team has shown a resilience towards defeat and continue to put their hearts into what they're doing!
