Cougars Come Out On Top Against SEMO

After coming off a season high team score of 194.925, the Cougar gymnasts showed the strength of their talent this past Wednesday in a home meet against Southeast Missouri, as they came out on top with the second highest team score of the season 194.85.

Highlights of the evening:

Boon scored a season-high 39.300 winning the all-around title for the meet and took the individual title in the vault with a score of 9.9

Dayna Smart-Allen competed in the all-around for the first time this season placing third with a 38.35

BYU started strong on the vault with a season high 48.950.
Megan Donehue scored a career high 9.800 score, and Dayna Smart-Allen matched her season-high with a 9.857 along with Boon posting a 9.9

Donehue led BYU with a career-high 9.850 on Bars, with Boon posting a season-high 9.775.

On balance beam freshman Madeline Johnson scored a career-high 9.750.

The team did a good job except for a few falls, cementing in everyone's mind that there's still a lot of work to be done.

The Cougars next meet will be @ home against in-state rival Southern Utah University in the Marriott Center, March 7th. The meet will start at 7 p.m.
